whats the latest news on the cydonia region of mars and other anomalies on mars and the moon

I have been viewing a slideshow presentation of photographs taken in Oct. 2006 of the surface of Mars taken by the Arizona State University/ NASA HIRISE Camera aboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter and was particularly intrigued by an image of a feature called Cerberus Fossae and the stunning blue element covering the floor of this feature.
