any truth to it, ever see the New Jersey Devil? Can he make it to North Carolina?

It is a a legendary creature or cryptid said to inhabit the Pine Barrens in southern New Jersey. The creature is often described as a flying biped with hooves, but there are many variations. The Jersey Devil has worked its way into the pop culture of the area, even lending its name to a National Hockey League team.

It’s easy to find ghost-hunting type websites loaded with supposed “eye witness” accounts, but where are the newspaper articles that surely would’ve been written about this? Seriously. I’ve heard about it for years, have family living in Jersey, but I have no idea wtf the Jersey Devil really is supposed to be (other than myth/folklore).

When I was a kid I used to study the sightings of the Jersey Devil. I thought the stories were awesome, until I scared the whole first grade class with my report about it (kids seriously hit the ground crying cuz they thought the devil was getting them Anyway, anyone heard or seen any news about it recently?

helpful answers please, and im not talking about the sports team. =] anything about the new jersey devil legend would be helpful. and please dont tell me its not real- you will be wasting your time ;]
